You can come by train, car or whatever you want, we’ll take you to our base where you can meet your horse and your expert guides. From then on, you will spend a week with your team and your horse, which you will look after, get up with and retire with.
The Mátra is largely unspoilt, a true Eastern European wilderness, not part of Pannonia, a part of Western civilisation, but a “savage” area. “Hard mountains make hard men”, so the proverb goes. Thousands of hectares of untouched forest, with protected primeval forests, some of which you can access on horseback without crossing motorways.
The Icelandic is closely related to the primeval horse. For more than a thousand years, the Vikings’ horses have been tempered by rocky cliffs, harsh weather and sparse forage to become a highly intelligent, sure-footed, hardy breed. Their friendship lasts a lifetime, never forgetting those they once carried on their backs.
A journey back in time, to a time when man was not so overwhelmed by technology. We open up inner pathways through skilled spiritual guides.
To experience a true nomadic life, detached from technology, in a spiritual way is quite different from just imagining it. Our Mongolian guide, who has grown up in a yurt, can impart original knowledge and a sense of life, which we can absorb in the evenings to the accompaniment of music, drums and singing bowls.
Five nights in the Mátra, in tourist houses and bivouac. Every evening campfire, dinner cooking.

We welcome children, whole families, to remember special occasions, to make a special day (birthday, name day, anniversary) memorable.
Unsurprisingly, our children escaping from the cities have often never seen a pet, never touched a rabbit, goat or duck.
We provide them with a place and space for this in one of the most beautiful sunset valleys of the Mátra, where these remarkable occasions can be celebrated with games, fun and picnics. Montessori teacher’s skill-building sessions can complement the programme.
